Performance night at Eastern Bloc
Eastern Bloc presents an evening combining a performative piece and a sound installation. These two propositions will offer reflexive spaces around the complex interplay of selfhood, movement and permanence.
Our Souls Will Never Collide, a durational performance by Joliz Dela Peña, explores the profound impact of overwhelming personal experiences on mental resilience and bodily awareness. It raises questions about how one’s experiences can leave lasting imprints as well as becoming ephemeral endpoints. Descendants, a sound art piece by Dani Tardif, transports the audience into a speculative future. In the form of an interactive and hypnotic journey, it imagines how LGBTQIA2S+ descendants might adapt their bodies to meet the challenges of a changing climate. This sonic experience explores queer, transfeminist and intersectional perspectives, through the power of fiction.
