Accessibility @LesHTMlles

The HTMlles tries to be an ally for people who struggle against different forms of oppression, such as heterosexism, transphobia, racism, classism, ableism, fatphobia, and ageism. There will be no hating in #zerofuture. With its limited resources and the help of volunteers, The HTMlles attempts to make the festival as accessible as currently possible.

Translation - Volunteer whisper translation from French to English, or English to French, will be available for most discussions.

Interpretation - Volunteer Langue des signes québécoise (LSQ) interpretation will be available for a limited number of performances.

Wheelchairs - In this programme, an icon indicates spaces that are fully wheelchair accessible. Partially accessible venues are described in more detail on the website.

Fragrance Free - Please help us accommodate our colleagues who are chemically sensitive by refraining from wearing colognes, perfumes or other scented or chemical products to the festival.

Childcare - If you desire assistance with childcare options, please contact the festival with at least 10 days notice.

For more information on the above, please contact production@htmlles.net or visit htmlles.net

The HTMlles 11 - ZÉR0 FUTUR{E} - (7-15 November 2014)

Volunteers are an essential part of the success of The HTMlles festival! In addition to helping the festival run smoothly, volunteers work with local and international artists, get access to all festival events, and work with the festival team to produce an amazing artist-run feminist festival of media arts and digital culture. Join us!

We are seeking assistance in the following areas:

  • + Promotion (flyer distribution, postering, etc.)
  • + Events (set-up and take-down)
  • + Transportation (drivers and/or lending your vehicle)
  • + Door (working the door and tabling at festival events)
  • + Whisper translation and ASL/LSQ interpretation (during roundtables and performances)
  • + Bartending
  • + Photo and Video Documentation (equipment may be provided)

Contact production @ htmlles.net for more information or to fill out a volunteer form!

Please put ‘Festival Volunteer’ in the subject line.
